Armed police have arrested a person, after surrounding their car in North New Brighton this afternoon.
A resident on Bower Avenue said he saw the incident unfold outside his house just after 3PM Thursday.

He said there were a handful of armed police on Bower Avenue.
The speeding vehicle turned into Ascot Avenue, and drove up a driveway he said.
Several police cars surrounded the vehicle.
A police spokesperson said a person of interest to police in a vehicle was stopped and taken into custody successfully.
Road spikes weren’t deployed.
Police have not said why the person was of interest in the first place.
