Multiple people have been arrested and two injured following an assault in Hornby.

Emergency services were called an assault on Springs Road just after 1PM.

An eyewitness said she saw people running from police officers down the street.

A dog handler and St John Ambulance were also at the scene.

A police spokesman said officers took multiple people into custody.

Two people suffered minor to moderate injuries.

Charges were being considered.
