Police are investigating another ram raid, this time, in the Christchurch suburb of Hornby.
A police spokeswoman said they received a report of a burglary at commercial premises on Witham Street, Hornby, about 5.30am.
She said “a vehicle was used to gain entry [to the Barkers convenience store] and inquiries are ongoing.
Hornby Greater Residents Association Chairperson Marc Duff told Chris Lynch the owners are like any dairy owners in Christchurch.
“They’re hard workers, dedicated to their community, working 12 hours a day.”
Duff said when you hit a dairy, you hurt the heart of the community.
Police did not provide a description of the offenders.
