Fleeing vehicle crashes upside down in Harewood

A fleeing vehicle has crashed upside down after failing to stop for police tonight.

A spokesperson told Chris Lynch Media police signalled for a vehicle to stop at the Russley Road and Memorial Ave onramp in Burnside at about 6.10pm.

However, the vehicle failed to stop and fled.

It crashed a short time later at the Harewood Road Roundabout.

An eyewitness said the car flipped upside down, and all of the occupants were arrested straight away.

Four St John ambulances arrived at the scene.

The police spokesperson said no one was injured.

Five young people were taken into custody.
