A man was rushed to hospital last night after arriving at a Christchurch restaurant with a stab wound.
Emergency services were called to Armadillos on Colombo Street in Beckenham at about 9.15PM.
The injured man, who had a stab wound to his arm, entered the restaurant and collapsed on the floor a witness said.
A police spokesman confirmed a person turned up at the bar and restaurant with a stab wound “believed to have been received earlier in the night.”
A St John spokeswoman said they transported “one patient to Christchurch hospital in a serious condition.”
Enquiries are ongoing the police spokesperson said.
Detectives were at the restaurant speaking to staff just after 10PM
