Two people have been taken to hospital following a crash in Wainoni.

A police spokeswoman told Chris Lynch they received a report of a two-car crash at the intersection of Bickerton Street and Pages Road, Wainoni, about 3:45pm.

One lane was blocked temporarily.

St John Ambulance attended the crash.

Two people have been transported to hospital in a moderate condition.

The lane has reopened.
