A jewellers shop in Christchurch has been broken into for the second time in two months.
Police received report of an alarm activation at Westende Jewellers on Colombo Street in Sydenham around 1:45am this morning.
Police arrived within minutes to discover the premises had been broken into, and located two people nearby, one a 20-year-old female and another a youth.
The female has been charged with receiving property and is due to appear in Christchurch District Court today.
Police say inquiries are ongoing into the burglary.
The shop was the victim of a ram raid in May, with a vehicle being used to break through the store, which resulted in thousands of dollars in damage.
