Police have responded to a one vehicle crash where a car collided with a tree on Bealey Avenue.

The incident occurred around 4:30pm yesterday afternoon during busy traffic.

Both the driver and passenger received moderate injuries from the crash and were transported to hospital.

A witness to the crash told Chris Lynch Media a man who appeared to be drunk was arrested by Police at the scene.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash including and whether charges will be laid. 

A Police spokesperson said they would like to thank the many witnesses who are assisting them with their enquiries.
