A driver involved in a crash in Addington last night fled the scene.

A police spokeswoman told Chris Lynch Media the two vehicle crash was reported to police at 11.20PM at the intersection of Deans Ave and Blenheim Road.

“It appears one of the occupants left the scene before police arrived.”

A St John spokeswoman said they responded with two ambulances, two rapid response units and a manager to the scene.

“We assessed and treated two patients”

One person was in a minor condition at the scene and one in a moderate condition, who was transported to Christchurch hospital.”

The police spokeswoman confirmed the driver of one of the cars left the scene (on foot.)

“There’s nothing to suggest that the car/s were stolen.”

Police have not said if any arrests have been made but did say their investigation was ongoing.
