Four youths have been arrested following a ramraid at a petrol station in Christchurch.
The group used a stolen car to ram into the NPD petrol station located on Sir John McKenzie Avenue at 1.45 am.
A police spokeswoman said the suspects gained entry to the petrol station and fled the scene before the police arrived.
However, the vehicle and offenders were located a short time later on Ferry Road.
The suspects fled from the car but were apprehended by the police.
A police spokesperson said four youths were arrested and referred to youth services.
The spokesperson added that the front window of the petrol station was damaged, and the investigation is ongoing to determine what was taken.
