Multiple serious crashes keep emergency services busy across Christchurch

Emergency services have been kept busy attending three separate crashes across Christchurch.

They responded to a single-vehicle crash on Johns Road, rear the Clearwater Roundabout in Harewood at 10:15 pm last night.

Witnesses said the vehicle flipped upside down.

A police spokesman confirmed a person received moderate injuries. 

Then emergency services were also called to a single-vehicle crash on Main Road near the Brae in Mount Pleasant at 1:20am.

The police spokesman said a person received serious injuries. The road was closed for a time but was reopened around 6:30 am.

The Serious Crash Unit attended the scene.

Then at 7.30AM police responded to a crash where a vehicle crashed into a fence on Springs Road in Hornby.

One person received serious injuries and another received moderate injuries.

The road was blocked for a time, but is open now the police spokesman said.
