A woman who intervened to break up a fight involving young boys is disgusted parents stood by and watched the victim get repeatedly punched in the head.

The woman, who wished to remain anonymous, told Chris Lynch Media she was at the Elephant Park in Bishopdale last week with her three young children when the incident occurred.

“I heard a large group of boys chanting “fight fight fight”, there would’ve been about eight of them in total.

“I then saw quite a solidly built boy punching a much smaller boy in the head, and then swung him to the ground and was strangling him.”

The woman says it was at that point, she ran over and ripped him off of the victim.

“I told them all to piss off, in probably a lot harsher language than that. They all scrambled to their bikes and verbally abused the crap out of me, hurling disgusting insults in front of my children.”

The woman says she looked around and noticed other parents standing back watching the violent scenes unfold.

“No one stepped in to help with a situation that could have turned very ugly for me and my children.

“I was furious. I am angrier at the fact no one else stepped in than anything else. It really is disgusting the parents were fine to just stand back and watch.”
