A crash in Temuka closed the main state Highway this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the crash near King Street at 2.45PM.

A police spokeswoman said police attended a traffic incident where a light truck collided with a power pole on the corner of Cass St and King St in Temuka.

A Hato Hone St John spokeswoman said they responded with one ambulance.

There were no injuries.

NZTA said State Highway One near the intersection was closed to traffic, but the road has since opened.
