A person is in a serious condition after a crash in a Linwood.

A police spokeswoman said at around 2.50am, police received a report of a crash involving a single vehicle on Linwood Avenue.

An eyewitness told Chris Lynch he saw the car speeding at 120+ kph on wrong side of the road then change back to the normal side before losing control and crashing.

The police spokeswoman said the road was blocked while emergency services attended.

A person was transported to hospital in a serious condition.
