An 18-year-old woman has been arrested following a house fire in Hillmorton.

Fire and Emergency crews were called to the fire on Bidwell Place, just before 9am on Thursday

No-one was injured in the fire, but the blaze has caused significant damage to the house.

A police spokesman said a person was rescued from inside the house.

“The fire appears suspicious, and an 18-year-old woman has been arrested on charges of arson.

Enquiries are ongoing.
