Emergency services have been called to a fire at a commercial premise in Sockburn.

Fire and Emergency crews received a call just before 6AM to a fire in a roof at a building off Main South Road near the overbridge.

The fire is at DGL, a company that makes a diesel exhaust fluid.

A police spokeswoman said police are assisting with traffic management.

Four fire appliances are at the scene, and the Sockburn underpass has been blocked off.

Neighbouring buildings have evacuated.

Fire crews are cutting into the roof to attack the blaze.

A fire investigator has been called to the scene.

No one has been injured.
