A Christchurch company that’s worked on some of the garden city’s most recognisable buildings has gone into liquidation.

Alutech Windows & Doors Limited is a commercial window supplier but also catered to high-end residential, architectural and multi-unit developments.

The company was founded by Phil and Sue Parkinson in 1987.

It supplied windows to many areas in New Zealand as well as China, the Maldives and Fiji.

On the Companies’ website, it said Alutech Windows & Doors Limited was placed into liquidation on the 2nd of December.

Ashton Wheelans are the liquidators.

A worker at the company said he’d worked there for 13 years.

“It’s sad news for our team. It has come at short notice, but we are getting what is owed. Life is life and it was a great company to work for. They have looked after me and my family for so long and would help any family in need.”

In August 2021, the company was registered as having 36 staff members.
