A fleeing driver rammed a police car in Christchurch early this morning.
A police spokesperson said at around 4am a vehicle fled from police when signalled to stop, on Maces Road, Bromley.
“Police did not pursue and instead tracked the vehicle and successfully deployed road spikes which brought the vehicle to a stop on Mathesons Road, Phillipstown.”
One person was taken into custody but the driver fled on foot.
Enquiries are ongoing to locate the driver.
During the incident, the fleeing vehicle intentionally rammed a Police vehicle and attempted to ram another. There were no injuries.
