A man has been arrested after a woman was stabbed in Aranui.

A police spokesman told Chris Lynch Media at 12.15PM a woman was seen with what appeared to be a stab wound in a premise on Breezes road. 

Police have not said where the woman was stabbed, but it’s understood staff at a Probation Office called police.

A Corrections Department spokeswoman said “a previous incident that occurred offsite was brought to our attention and our staff immediately notified Police.

 A police spokesman said the woman left the premise with a man who is believed to be the offender. 

Police have since detained him.

A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said “St John was notified of an incident on Breezes Road and responded one ambulance and one rapid response unit.

“We assessed and treated one patient with moderate injuries at the scene.”
