Four people have been injured, including one seriously, in a crash in New Brighton last night.
Emergency services were called to the two-car crash on Keys Street and Pratt Road at 7.17pm.
A St John Ambulance spokeswoman told Chris Lynch three ambulances, one rapid response vehicle, and one manager responded to the scene.
One patient was transported to Christchurch Hospital in a serious condition.
Another person was taken to hospital in a moderate condition.
Two other patients were treated at the scene for minor conditions.
Three people had to be cut free from one of the cars.
The road was blocked off by police for a short time.
