There’s been a serious crash on Halswell Junction Road.

A police spokeswoman said police received a report of a serious crash involving a single cyclist on Halswell Junction Road around 2:20pm. 

A St John Ambulance spokesperson said “this appears to have been a medical event.”

The road is partially closed while emergency services attend the scene. 

Detours are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area.

NZTA was asking motorists to avoid Halswell Junction Road between Edmonton and Shands Roads.
