A Christchurch teenager is breathing a sigh of relief after being reunited with his stolen tricycle.
As reported by chrislynchmedia.com, fifteen-year-old Connor had his custom-built tricycle stolen more than a week ago from outside Countdown in New Brighton.
Connor, who is still recovering from brain surgery, lost his hard-earned independence when the tricycle was taken during a routine grocery trip.
The story was shared by thousands of Christchurch residents, sparking widespread support from the community.
On Sunday night, his mother Karen Duncan-Caley told chrislynchmedia.com following publicity about the theft, offender’s father came forward.
Karen said the family collected the tricycle from the offender’s house on Sunday.
