A man has been arrested following a firearms incident in Spreydon this evening.

Chris Lynch Media understands the man was involved in a police pursuit, though it is unclear if the firearm was used.

Multiple police vehicles descended on Sumner Street just before 5pm.

AOS police were called to the scene, along with police dog handler.

A short time later, a man was arrested and taken into custody.
