Firefighters will walk off the job on Friday between 11am and 12pm and won’t respond to any emergencies during this time. Another hour long strike in planned for next Friday.

New Zealand Professional Firefighters’ Union National Vice President Joseph Stanley said “we will continue to do whatever we need to do to make them listen for as long as it takes we can’t continue to put ourselves in harm’s way without support of the organisation that asked us to do that.”
