Emergency services are attending a crash involving a single vehicle on Ohoka Road, Kaiapoi.

One person has been reported injured, which was reported at around 8:45am today.

One ambulance and one rapid response vehicle attended, with one patient, in a moderate condition, transported to Christchurch Hospital, a St John spokesperson said.

Ohoka Road is partially blocked as emergency responders work at the scene, a police spokesperson told Chris Lynch Media.

The crash occurred nearby Kaiapoi High School.

Motorists travelling south are advised to use Tram Road to access the motorway while the scene is cleared.

Authorities are urging drivers to take care in the area and expect possible delays.
