Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash on Buchanans Road in Christchurch.
The incident, involving a truck and a motorcyclist, occurred at approximately 1.40 pm, near Hei Hei Road.
Fire and Emergency crews, along with police and St John Ambulance, are attending the scene.
A police spokesperson said indications suggest there are serious injuries.
A St John spokeswoman said they responded with one ambulance and one manager to the scene.
“Our crews were not required for transportation. Please refer all further enquiries to police.”
Buchanans Road is closed between both Vanguard Road intersections and the intersection with Hei Hei Road.
Motorists are advised to take an alternate route and expect delays.
