A teenager has survived after climbing a power pylon in Christchurch this evening, with witnesses reporting he were shocked several times during the incident.
Police told chrislynchmedia.com they were called to Ashtead Lane in Sockburn around 7:40 pm.
St John Ambulance received the initial call from a member of the public.
Emergency services quickly responded, and a significant police presence surrounded the scene.
A witness at the scene said the teenager, who had recently turned 16, appeared to have sustained burns, but the extent of his injuries were not immediately available.
He was still alive, but mumbling, the witnessed said.
He was eventually helped down by Fire and Emergency staff.
