Police have blocked off a road in Rolleston while firefighters work to bring a large house fire under control.
Fire and Emergency crews were called to the two-story house on Springston Rolleston Road at 5:45 PM.
By the time the first fire appliance arrived, the house was already engulfed in flames.
It is understood part of the house has collapsed.
No one has been injured.
Resident Tim Woods told chrislynchmedia.com, traffic was currently being diverted away from the blaze.
Crews from Lincoln, Wigram, Rolleston, Leeston, and Spreydon, along with multiple tankers, are working to bring the fire under control.
