Christchurch’s central city was filled with energy and excitement today as the Philippines Festival brought a lively celebration of music, dance, and culture to city.

 

A highlight of the event was a captivating performance by a dance group from Hornby High School, who showcased their talent with a traditional Filipino dance.

Dressed in colourful costumes, the group impressed the crowd with their precision and enthusiasm, earning cheers and applause from festivalgoers.

 

Organisers said the festival aimed to bring people together and celebrate the rich heritage of the Filipino community in Christchurch.
