Emergency services are at the scene of a two-car crash in Ohoka.

A police spokeswoman told Chris Lynch the crash occurred about 1:10pm at the intersection of Tram Road and Whites Road.

One person was trapped in a vehicle, and Fire and Emergency crews have been called to assist.

A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said they responded with a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance to the scene.

“We assessed and treated one patient with moderate injuries who was transported to Christchurch hospital.”

Tram Road was closed at both ends, but has since reopened.
