A vehicle used in an alleged car jacking in Avondale, Christchurch has been found.

The stolen car involved in the robbery has been recovered following the incident on Portsmouth Street at around 8.50pm Saturday night.

A police spokesman told chrislynchmedia.com a person reportedly entered the victim’s stationary car armed with scissors and demanded the occupant exit the vehicle.

The occupant did so and the offender drove away.

No one was injured in the incident the police spokesman said.

The vehicle was located on St Martins Road around 3pm yesterday, Sunday 3 November.
