In an interview  Joe Rogan, former President Donald Trump addressed the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, claiming he could swiftly put an end to the hostilities if he returned to office.

The YouTube video of the interview quickly amassed 2.4 million views in just three hours. Rogan dispelled claims from some on social media that the episode had been censored.

Trump outlined his approach to foreign diplomacy, suggesting that his direct negotiation style and use of economic tools, like tariffs, would bring about swift resolution. He hinted that his strong relationships with leaders like Russian President Vladimir Putin would aid his efforts in establishing peace.

“It’s an easy question because I think I can do it easily,” Trump said while talking about his belief in the United States’ power to influence global outcomes.

“I would meet with Putin and [Ukraine’s president], and I know exactly what I’d say to each one of them. I believe that as President Elect, I would get that war stopped and stopped fast,” he continued, adding that his use of tariffs and tough negotiation tactics had previously helped prevent escalations.

Trump also cited an incident with French President Emmanuel Macron as an example of his diplomatic style. In the story, Trump threatened to impose a 100% tariff on French wines and champagnes after France considered a tax on American companies. “Within about two minutes, he dropped the whole thing,” Trump said, pointing to the encounter as evidence of his effectiveness in protecting American interests.

Turning his criticism toward the Biden administration, Trump said the current leadership lacks the skill to assert power on the world stage.

“They met in Alaska with the Chinese, and the Chinese lectured them about how badly we treat people,” he said, adding, “They didn’t talk to me that way. They respected me; they respected our country. They don’t respect Biden.”

He also directed sharp criticism toward Vice President Kamala Harris, expressing concerns over her capability to lead.

“She’s not a smart person. Look, she can’t put two sentences together,” Trump said. “If she becomes the President of the United States…I don’t think this country is going to make it.”
