Police have confirmed that a second person has died following a two-vehicle crash on West Coast Road (SH73), Kirwee, last week.

Police were called to the scene at around 9:30 pm on Thursday, 3 October.

A police spokesman confirmed today that one person died at the scene, and their critically injured passenger died in hospital the following day.

The sole occupant of the other vehicle is now in a stable condition in hospital.

Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing, the police spokesman said.
