Post-mortems on two bodies discovered at a house in Riccarton are being carried out today.
Police were called to a house on Ayr Street on Saturday night after a request by a family member of the occupants to conduct a ‘welfare check.’
The bodies of a woman and man were found by police.
In a short statement police said “the deceased were removed from the property last evening, and post-mortems are being carried out today.”

“Formal identification is yet to be completed, and as such no further information is able to be released.”
Police are not currently seeking anyone else in relation to this incident.
Wider members of the family are being supported by Victim Support.
