Armed police have blocked off a quiet street in Bromley this evening.

Residents on Peteke Place say police have been searching their backyards.

Police say they received reports of a firearm heard being discharged on Pateke Place, around 6:50pm.

“Staff are at the scene making enquiries to establish what has occurred. There are no reported injuries.”

Some residents returning home have been told to wait at the police cordon.

Residents say ambulances arrived on scene, just after 7pm.

Another resident said 6 police cars and 2 ambulances were on Keighleys Road.
