The death of a baby boy in Spreydon is being treated as “unexplained.”
Emergency services were called to a property on Barrington Street around 2:35PM on Wednesday.
”Sadly, despite receiving medical attention, the person has died. Police are in the initial stages of determining what happened” police said yesterday.
On Thursday morning a police spokesman told chrislynchmedia.com police were continuing to make enquiries into a death at an address on Barrington Street yesterday.
“At this time, the death is being treated as unexplained.”
There was a significant police presence at the social housing complex.
Several police detectives were still at the address just after 5 pm on Wednesday.

Chris Lynch Media has been told the deceased was a nine month old.
Fire and Emergency services also responded to the incident, which was initially reported as a medical response.
Several distressed residents were speaking with police officers outside, while one man sat on the footpath.
