A child was injured in a car crash on Hereford Street in Linwood on Tuesday.
A resident told ChrisLynchMedia.com that around 6 PM, she heard a loud bang and rushed outside to find two vehicles severely damaged.
It’s believed an altercation occurred on the road between a couple.
According to an eyewitness, a man standing outside a stationary car reached through to the steering wheel. As the female driver attempted to escape, she crashed the car into another vehicle with such force that it was pushed several metres forward before colliding with a fence.
The impact caused the second vehicle to crash into a fence as well.
An eyewitness reported that the mother had four children in the car, including a baby who was uninjured.
Another child suffered injuries to his face and leg, while the remaining two children appeared unhurt.
Another neighbour said the address where the altercation took place had been a magnet for crime and anti-social behaviour.
A police spokeswoman described the crash as a family harm incident, confirming that a child suffered a minor injury.
Three people were arrested at the scene.
