Former Waimakariri list MP Richard Prosser has died.
New Zealand First Leader Winston Peters made the announcement.
“It is with sadness that we have learnt of the sudden passing in the UK of former NZF MP Richard Prosser.
Richard represented NZFirst as a list MP based in Waimakariri between 2011 and 2017.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends & family at this sad and challenging time.”
Prosser entered Parliament as a NZ First list MP in 2011.
In a post on Radio Central’s Facebook page it said “we are deeply saddened to learn of the sudden death of our friend and U.K. Correspondent Richard Prosser who lost his battle with depression last night.”
Richard was a lovely, clever man and I will miss him greatly.
Please, please, please, open up to someone, anyone, if you have feelings of despair.
There’s always someone who can help and there’s always someone who loves and needs you.”
