Motorists are being warned to take it easy when driving home from the long weekend.

It follows a single vehicle crash involving a powerpole at the intersection of Hursley Terrace Road and Ashworths Road (SH1) around 12:20pm.

A St John spokeswoman said they responded with one ambulance and one rapid response unit.

A police spokeswoman said although there were no reports of injury, powerlines are reported to have come down.

Traffic management was set up at 2.30PM at the scene while contractors repair the powerlines.
