Rolleston based Trinity Employment Services has been placed into liquidation.
According to Companies’ Office documents the company was played into liquidation on Thursday and Insolvency & Trustee Service was appointed the liquidators.
Chris Lynch Media has been told by a former employee that some workers were interviewed by IRD investigators regarding alleged debt of more than two million dollars.
Other employees were expected to be interviewed tomorrow. Cassandra Knox is listed as the sole director of the company.
On 21 March 2024, an application for putting Trinity Employment Services Limited into liquidation was filed at the High Court in Christchurch.
The plaintiff was the Commissioner of Inland Revenue, official Government documents show.
On the Trinity Employment Services website Knox said she started the company “after seeing a lack of care and appreciation within the recruitment industry.”
Cassandra won the award for Emerging Leader at the 2022 South Canterbury Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.
On the same day (today) Trinity Employment Services was placed into liquidation, Knox registered a new company on the Companies’ Office website called Elite Employment Limited.

Knox told Chris Lynch Media on Thursday afternoon the reason why she registered a new company was because she hoped to “rebuild something in the future.”
Knox said she “tried to come to some agreement with IRD to replay the debt but it didn’t work out.”
Knox wouldn’t say how many people she employed, but Chris Lynch Media understands several workers left the company over the past few weeks.
“This is going to affect a lot of people and it’s a very sad time and I’d appreciate if you were kind” Knox said.
Chris Lynch Media earlier reported that Trinity Employment Services owed staff wages, but according to current staff members this isn’t the case. Chris Lynch Media will continue to report on developments once the first Liquidators’ report has been released.
