Following the success of 2021, The Bandquet is back in Hanmer Springs where multi-platinum chart toppers ZED will headline the six-hour long music & food festival at Hanmer Springs Domain on Saturday, 2 April 2022.

ZED.’s first album ‘Silencer’, debuted at No. 1 on the New Zealand Album Charts, and was certified 4x platinum. It spawned six top 20 hits including “Renegade Fighter”, “Glorifilia” and “Oh, Daisy”.

Event director Simon Carter is delighted to announce ZED. has been signed to perform.

“ZED. is one of Canterbury and NZ’s favourite musical success stories. Hailing from Christchurch and taking on the world. We are delighted to have them performing in Hanmer Springs and know they are a great fit for the event”.

“It’s really cool that all our artists have a connection to the Canterbury region, either currently living here or having grown up here”.

Playing alongside ZED. are local bands Volts, 7-piece funk band The In Crowd and New Zealand-based DJ/Production duo Sweet Mix Kids who are returning from 2021, with a 5th artist to be added to the line-up.

“We’ve worked hard to ensure this will be a great afternoon of sweet New Zealand music in one of the most stunning Alpine settings you can imagine.”

“These are musicians who’ve topped charts, played at international festivals, dominated our radio airwaves and that get people up, dancing and having fun. They’re some of our very best.”

Sweet Mix Kids are a DJ act not to miss. There’s a reason these guys have been booked to play alongside and for private parties hosted by some of the world’s biggest music names including Adele, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay.”

The Bandquet has been designed to be a great day out for the whole family with a Kidtopian World to entertain the kids and plenty of fantastic food, craft breweries, wineries and boutique gin distilleries for Mum and Dad.

“As well as great musicians, we have award winning beverages, food to tantalise the taste buds and the largest Kidtopian World you can imagine to keep the young (& young at heart) entertained.”

Among the fun on offer in the Kidtopian World will be Bumpboats, Water Walkers, Bouncy Castles and Face Painting.

Event director Simon Carter says tickets that start from $59 (+ Booking Fees) are on sale and already selling well.

“After an uncertain year and lack of events, people are excited to hang out with friends and family. Our early bird tickets sold out in under 48 hours and our Saver tickets are already proving very popular.”

“This will be a great day out with something for everyone. We have no doubt The Bandquet is becoming a much anticipated event on everyone’s social calendar – we can’t wait and encourage everyone to book your accommodation and grab your tickets early” concludes Simon Carter.
