Emergency services are at the scene of a crash involving two vehicles and a horse float in Darfield.

Shortly after 1pm police received a report of the crash on Bangor Road.

Police, Fire and Ambulance are currently in attendance.

Two people have been are injured.

The road has been blocked while emergency services attend, with diversions in place.

A local vet has also been called to attend to the horse.

NZTA said the road is now closed between Waireke Rd and Cullens Rd.

Eastbound traffic please detour via Waireka Rd and Cullens Rd, reverse for eastbound traffic.
