Fire and Emergency crews are at the scene of a house fire in Lyttelton.
A fire communications spokeswoman said they received the call at 1.35pm Thursday to a property on Cressy Terrace.
She said two appliances are at the scene and the fire has been contained within the house.
Fire and Emergency received four calls regarding the blaze.
A St John ambulance has been called as a precautionary measure for a member of a public who has suffered smoke inhalation.
No one was inside the house at the time of the blaze.
There’s no word on the cause of the fire, but a fire investigator has been called to the scene.
