Exciting news from the Richmond Community Garden & Riverlution!

They're gearing up for their vibrant annual olive harvest, scheduled around the end of May or early June, with exact dates to be confirmed soon for all co-op members.

Morgane Honore, Operations Manager said their dedicated team of volunteers will be busy picking olives throughout the designated week.

"We invite community members to bring their olives to the Riverlution Eco Hub during this time and in return, receive fresh olive oil.”

After collection, the olives will be pressed and allowed to settle for at least a month before being bottled.

The finished olive oil is known for its fresh grassy scent and a light peppery flavor, perfect for dressing salads or as a delightful dip for bread.

Anyone with olive trees, even if it's just one tree, is encouraged to join the cooperative effort or spread the word.

"Stay tuned for updates and get ready to add a splash of community-sourced flavor to your cooking!"
